Nilpeter unveils holoprint at Label Expo 2009
20 10 2009At Labelexpo Europe, Nilpeter launched its HoloPrint technology for the production of holograms, which can be integrated in-line with any Nilpeter platform press.
The cassette-based HoloPrint module prints a 50,000 dpi holographic image in register and in a UV-cured varnish directly onto any web-fed paper or film substrate. The result is a security device that is said to overcome the usual storage and security issues surrounding conventional embossed foil holograms. HoloPrint images can help secure a multitude of consumer products, cards, tickets, and garments against counterfeiting or so-called ‘gray imports’. HoloPrint offers print widths of 340 mm (13.5 inches) and 420 mm (16.5 inches).
